Shanna O’Berry is the Director of Academic Programs at Learning by Giving. In her role, Shanna works to find new ways to connect a network that spans the country and crosses all academic disciplines. An eternal student, Shanna enjoys visiting Learning by Giving classes to listen to students discuss their grantmaking.
Prior to joining Doris’ Letters Foundation and Learning by Giving, Shanna worked in higher education for ten years wearing many hats: student, faculty, department manager, and assistant dean. All the while, she taught English and writing at Boston-area colleges and universities.
Shanna holds a BA in English from Michigan State University and an MA in English from University of Massachusetts Boston. She holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership through the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, in affiliation with Tufts University's Tisch College of Civic Life.
She is honored to be a small part of the Learning by Giving movement.
